THE Americas Meetings & Events Exhibition (AIBTM) announced that the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) will present an educational track at AIBTM 2012, Reed Travel Exhibitions’ premiere provider for the US meetings and events industry.

The three-day networking event, to be held from June 19 to 21 in Baltimore, will feature a full day of education, followed by two days of exhibitions.

The ICCA Global Meetings track will feature two 90-minute roundtable sessions on June 19 during AIBTM’s Education Day.  The first session will take place in the morning, after the keynote speaker, and the second will take place in the afternoon.

The roundtable discussions will be followed by a one-hour clinic, where ICCA members will be available to give personalized advice to planners.

This year’s ICCA roundtable sessions and clinic topics are: How global destinations can penetrate the US market, Global meetings:  practical advice for North American planners and Going global one-on-one clinic.

“We are pleased to announce our partnership with ICCA for the ICCA Global meetings track at AIBTM 2012,” said AIBTM project director, Steve Knight.  “The first roundtable session will be aimed primarily at suppliers, with the second session aimed at planners, as well as suppliers who are interested in meeting internationally focused planners.”

ICCA joins other AIBTM Association partners for AIBTM Education Day, which is comprised of a series of conferences, forums and workshops.  Other partners include the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) and the Society of Incentive Travel Executives (SITE).
