As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, Kuwait's Jazeera Airways has announced the launch of new direct flights to Madinah in Saudi Arabia.

Jazeera Airways’ foray into the second largest Islamic pilgrimage destination comes as part of the airline's mission to serve the increasing demands of all segments of society.

“We are pleased to be opening a route to Madinah to improve services for pilgrims. They are an important segment for us, from Kuwait and for travellers from other countries such as India, said Rohit Ramachandran, CEO Jazeera Airways. He added: “The experience for all our passengers will soon be greatly improved with the opening of the new Jazeera terminal at Kuwait International Airport next month, in time for the busy summer season."

Jazeera Airways will provide a frequency of three weekly flights with departure at 6.15 am and arrival in Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Airport at 8:00 am and departure from Madinah at 8:45 am with arrival at 10:30 am. In lieu of the season, Jazeera Airways will recommence flights to Taif during the month of Ramadan starting May 16 until June 6.

Flying to 23 destinations across the Middle East, Europe & India, Jazeera Airways operates a fleet of nine Airbus A320 aircraft. Passengers can enjoy a baggage allowance of 30kg for Economy class and 50kg per Business class passenger. - TradeArabia News Service
