The roadshow kicked off in Manchester, followed by London and ended in Windsor.

The kingdom's delegation was headed by BTEA officials and included representatives from Gulf Air, a number of hotels and travel agents, where they discussed the kingdom’s leading tourism offerings to the British market with several travel agencies, and established joint agreements with tour operators in order to increase the number of tourist groups to Bahrain.

“The roadshow aimed to raise awareness about Bahrain as a touristic destination suitable for families and tourists of all ages by highlighting its distinctive elements. The roadshow also aimed to attract international brands in the hospitality sector as well as retail and leisure developments. Our representative office in the UK organised a series of meetings aimed at increasing the number of visitors to the Kingdom to further position Bahrain on the global tourism map” said the director of Tourism Marketing and Promotions at BTEA, Yousef Al Khan.

The BTEA has strived to develop a long-term strategy centered on four pillars - Awareness, Attraction, Access and Accommodation.
