TTN, the region’s oldest and most established travel trade publication, sponsored and organised the Pecha Kucha Travel Agents Competition again this year, in partnership with Audience Alive.

Aimed at travel agents, the popular pecha kucha session saw companies showcase their destination or company through a pecha kuccha presentation. Pecha kucha, a Japanese word meaning chit-chat, is a simple presentation format where 20 images are shown for 20 seconds each. The presentation is followed by a quiz and agents with correct (and fastest) answers receive prizes.

This year, RwandAir, JA Resorts & Hotels and Seychelles Tourism Board were among the presenters and TTN also gave away a bonus prize.

Rwanda Air, represented by Timothy Njihia country manager, UAE, awarded one air ticket to winner Margare Bamidele, MD of SG Payless Bookings Lagos.

JA Resorts & Hotels gave away three nights on a bed and breakfast basis at JA Palm Tree Court. Hossam Nafea, assistant director of sales, JA Resorts & Hotels presented the award to Zaim Muhammad, Travel Counsellor, Dubai, who is a regular winner at TTN’s pecha-kucha Travel Agents Competition over the years.

Seychelles Tourism Board and Six Senses Zil Pasyon gave away a two-nights’ stay in a private pool villa. The lucky winner was Anil Shadadpuri, MD, Think & Trip Dubai – and the presenters Jenifer Sinon, deputy CEO Seychelles Tourism Board and Camelia Binbrek, director of sales and marketing of Six Senses Zil Pasyon.

TTN Middle East’s publishing director Kim Thomson also gave away a Dh500 shopping voucher to winner Jeniffer Liz Wangolo, Uberluxe Safaris, Rwanda.
