The Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre (Adnec) has had multiple successes in winning medical and life sciences conferences in recent years.

The healthcare sector is a vital part of Abu Dhabi’s drive for economic diversification and excellence. Building on the emirate’s first rate healthcare credentials, investment and development in the sector is attracting a growing number of prestigious specialised international meetings, helping to meet the emirate’s target of growing the business events and Mice sector by 5-7 per cent per annum.

Adnec works with the Abu Dhabi Convention Bureau to support international associations in developing key connections, locally and regionally, helping to increase delegate attendance, plan and deliver successful conferences, and aid associations in global expansion. This pro-active and collaborative approach to multi-partner delivery, coupled with the country’s long-standing reputation as a safe destination with proven ability in hosting global events has delivered multiple successes in winning medical and Life Sciences conferences such as the recently held Joint International Conference on Medical Education 2018 and the Ottawa Conference 2018; the Gulf Obesity Summit and Regional Congress 2018. The International Council of Nurses ICN Regional Congress and the Congress of the International Society for Hemodialysis 2018 also took place last year.

2019 will be an excellent year with major congresses including the FIP World Congress of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, the SIOP Asia Congress and the World Congress of Endourology scheduled to be held at Adnec.

Booked for 2020 are The International Society Pediatric Adolescent Diabetes 46th Annual Conference, the WONCA World Conference and the World Organization of Family Doctors, which will all take place at Adnec.
