Barracuda Beach Resort in Umm Al Quwain is celebrating 25 years of service this month with a special seasonal festival from December 20 to 21.

Visitors can finish off their Christmas food shopping by exploring the store’s range of sweet delicacies including traditional Christmas puddings, butters and sauces and rich fruit cakes, as well as everyone’s favourite festive chocolates, biscuits and candy treats.

Or head over to Thunder Road restaurant to pick up some Flamigni Panettone, which has been specially imported from Italy. This firm Christmas favourite is available for Dh149 ($40.5) for 1kg - with smaller sizes also on offer.

Visitors can also pick up some last-minute Christmas gifts for their loved ones with a range of personalised items available in store - and gift-wrapping taking place from 10am till 4pm each day during the festival.
 
And, continuing the Christmas theme, Barracuda’s outdoor plant store will be fully stocked with all festive plants and flowers including poinsettias, holly and mistletoe. They’ve got a range of real Christmas trees on sale priced from Dh550 ($149.7) to Dh875 ($238.1) on a variety of sizes.

Peter Hinde, area manager retail, Barracuda, said: “In celebration of Barracuda’s 25th anniversary, every customer using our retail store app during the festival will be entered into a lucky draw with the chance of winning Dh2,500 ($680.5) in loyalty points which will be automatically added to their app wallet."

“In addition to this, the retail store will also be offering an advent of special deals for customers from December 1 through to Christmas Day, with the deal of the day unveiled on social media each morning,” he said.

Visitors can enjoy a special Christmas-themed buffet inclusive of turkey and all the trimmings at Barracuda Beach Resort’s Aquarius restaurant for just Dh85/$23.1 (plus taxes) per person on December 20. Also, try out Thunder Road’s festive ‘Thunder Star Pizza’ and a beverage for Dh99 ($26.9) before making the journey home.

With perfect weather at the moment, guests settle down on the outside deck and relax whilst the kids play in the playground. And with Christmas face painting, balloon modelling and decorating and a choir singing all the favourite Christmas carols as well as a host of other fun stuff from 11am to 1pm on both days, there’s plenty to keep the kids entertained.
