Over 131,000 cross King Fahd Causeway in one day

More than 131,000 people crossed the King Fahd Causeway linking Bahrain and Saudi Arabia on one day, setting a new record, said a new report.

Officials said the over 131,000 travellers used the causeway on January 11, the highest one-day figure since the opening of the terrestrial link in November 1986, said a report in Saudi Press Agency.

The spokesman of Eastern Region passports Colonel Moala Al-Otaibi stated that the passengers’ movement and procedures were completed smoothly, confirming that the efforts and the cooperation with related sectors were the reason for this accomplishment, it said.
