Jannah Hotels and Resorts, a leading hotel management company with six properties in the UAE, is partnering with Emirates Environmental Group to participate with its first recycling campaign “One Root, One Communi-tree”.

The campaign involves the participating Jannah Hotels including; Jannah Marina Hotel Apartments, Jannah Burj Al Sarab Hotel and Edge Creekside Hotel, to recycle a set target of materials and to have a tree planted and named after the brand in the UAE. The activation is designed to engage the community in action and educate about and instil the values of recycling amongst Jannah’s visitors, guests and employees alike.

The participating Jannah Hotels and Resorts are expected to submit the expected target of recyclable materials within the span of two weeks and to achieve the target in that time. Jannah has set the target of recycling 2,000kg of paper, 100kg of plastic and 75kg of aluminium cans by January 22, 2022 in order to have those trees planted in the UAE under the brand’s name.

The One Root, One Communi-tree was initiated in 2010 under the Tree Planting Event. Having achieved its objectives of mobilising the society in a hands-on activity to manage recyclable waste and increasing the sustainable green patch in the UAE, Emirates Environmental Group introduced this project as an annual event to connect the Tree Planting Campaign with the Waste Management Programmes with local businesses in the country.

This is the first of Jannah Hotels and Resorts sustainable and innovative initiative this year as the brand pledges to be more environmentally aware and friendly into 2022 and beyond. – TradeArabia News Service
