 Jubail Mangrove Park increases in popularity

Jubail Mangrove Park has become one of the most sough-after destinations for nature lovers in Abu Dhabi. The park has achieved a remarkable accomplishment by drawing in over 150,000 visitors from October 2022 to March 2023. This achievement is a testament to the park’s commitment to sustainability and its dedication to providing visitors with engaging activities that help them forge a deeper connection with nature.

Jubail Island has launched a project to plant 1 million mangrove trees, where more than 500,000 trees have been planted to date. This initiative is a testament to the island’s dedication to preserving this unique ecosystem and contributes to the UAE’s significant objective. By expanding the mangrove forest, Jubail Island aims to create a healthier environment for wildlife and support local communities.

Jubail Mangrove Park is committed to sustainability and engages visitors in edutainment and interactive mangrove tree planting experiences. Through such activities, visitors gain insight into the pivotal role that mangroves play in mitigating climate change and promoting biodiversity.

 

Red Sea Global partners for green mobility

Serco, the international public services company, has been appointed by Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind the world’s most ambitious regenerative tourism destinations, The Red Sea and Amaala, to act as the managing agent for their full suite of sustainable mobility services across Saudi Arabia’s visionary new tourism destination, The Red Sea.

The contract will see Serco working with RSG’s Mobility team to ensure a world-class, net-zero mobility experience for guests at The Red Sea. The carbon-neutral destination covers more than 90 islands, of which only 22 will be developed. The resorts will be reliant on multiple modes of green transport across land, marine, and air – from seaplanes and boats to buggies – to ensure that guests enjoy a seamless luxury experience from the moment they arrive.

Serco will be responsible for supporting the oversight of operations and maintenance, performance management, health and safety, and guest experience across the development.

 

SEVEN signs agreement with Hasbro

Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), has signed a second licensed agreement with Hasbro, Inc. a global branded entertainment leader. Under the agreement, SEVEN will bring the Transformers brand to its entertainment destinations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The agreement follows an earlier announcement of a licensed agreement between to the two parties for the world’s first PLAY-DOH attractions.

SEVEN have partnered with AOA, an industry leader in immersive experience design and production, to develop the Transformers attractions which will provide thrilling and highly immersive experiences for people of all ages.

Spanning over 10,000 sqm, the first Transformers attraction will open at SEVEN’s entertainment destination in the Al Hamra district of Riyadh, with two additional attractions set to open at other SEVEN’s entertainment destinations.

 

Hong Kong rolls out worldwide campaign

The “Hello Hong Kong” promotional campaign was rolled out worldwide to send the positive message that Hong Kong is back with exciting new experiences awaiting visitors.

As part of the “World of Winners” campaign sponsored by Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) that will give away 500,000 free tickets to global visitors, Cathay Pacific will be offering residents across India, Bangladesh, Nepal and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) 5,590 round-trip air tickets to Hong Kong. The initiative is in support of Hong Kong Tourism Board’s (HKTB’s) “Hello Hong Kong” campaign. 

An array of enticing welcoming offers from over 16,000 outlets across the city have been put together by the HKTB and the tourism and hospitality sectors to welcome back visitors. Among which, at the initial stage, at least 1 million “Hong Kong Goodies” visitor consumption vouchers will be on offer, covering a complimentary welcome drink at participating bars, restaurants, and hotels, or a cash voucher to be redeemed in the transportation, culinary and retail sectors, as well as attractions.
