PROJECT DETAILS

Bander Al Seef is a mixed-use development project that is being built by Eskan Bank in Busaiteen, Muharraq. It will consist of two hotels consisting of 50-storeys each, along with various types of residential properties and commercial outlets.

SCOPE OF WORK

Bander Al Seef will include low-rise housing units and various other facilities like:

·         2 Hotels

o   50-storeys each

·         Shopping mall

·         Luxurious villas

·         Traditional cottages

·         Apartment units

·         Food courts

·         Cafes and coffee shops

·         Commercial and retail outlets

·         Children’s theme park

·         Mosque

TIMELINE

June 2017 - The project is still in the early planning and study stage.

August 2016 - Eskan bank is still re-examining the feasibility of developing this project.

June 2015 - Eskan Bank has re-started the feasibility study for the Bander Al Seef mixed-use development project.

December 2014 - The project is still on hold.

June 2013 - The project is on hold for unknown reasons.

March 2013 - Bids for the design consultancy contract is still under evaluation.

December 2012 - Financial bids have also been submitted by all the 22 companies.

September 2012 - 22 companies have been submitted their bids for the consultancy contract for master planning & design works. They are as follows:

August 2012 - Bahrain’s tender board has received technical bids for master planning & design works contract.

July 2012 - Tenders have been invited for the design contract.

April 2012 - Feasibility study is being carried out for developing a mixed-use project called Bander Al Seef in Busaiteen, Muharraq. The project is being headed by Eskan Bank.
