Umm al Emarat Park in Abu Dhabi is set to play host to the Flavors Festival, a 10-day community event featuring a wide range of culinary delights and fun-filled activities.

Providing a unique taste of UAE’s rich and diverse cuisines from March 30 to April 8, 2017, the festival will feature an indulgent mix of over 150 food tents and street food trucks by home-grown food and beverage brands and Emirati food businesses, showcasing their unique food concepts to the residents and visitors across the emirate of Abu Dhabi and the UAE.

Visitors to the festival can sample their way through a wide variety of fare. From juicy burgers, succulent kebabs, quick shawarma bites to authentic sushi rolls - this season’s food festival promises to quell cravings for spring flavors as there will be something there to delight everyone's palate.

Majid El Hamamy, general manager, Line Rise Exhibitions, organizer of Abu Dhabi Flavors Festival, said: “Through this initiative, we aim to bring much needed exposure to the UAE’s independent, locally-based home-grown F&B scene, help sustain the culture of entrepreneurship and contribute towards successful establishment of unique food concepts in the UAE. There are some fast-rising brands and some hidden away under all that sheen, so the festival is a good chance for the public to get to know what local brands are out there. It also provides an opportunity to families and children to engage with wider community and enjoy their spring break through truly delightful food experiences.”

Hilarious live comedy shows, quiz competitions, kids painting, live cooking demonstrations, stilt walkers, art and crafts activities and entertainment workshops are sure to delight children and deliver a festive atmosphere for families to enjoy a fun-filled evening.

Participating brands include: Motorburger, Raclette DXB, Shawarma Code, Spheerz, Rock & rolls, Al Derwaza, Crepes & Poffs, Barbocoa, Extreme Burger, Churros Café, Monkey Cookies, Shish Shawerma, KeKe Sweets, Booth café, Rezz be Halib, Parata Guys, A’abali burger, Saj2Go and more.

In the run up to the event, there will be social media competitions and promotions offering visitors a chance to win free food vouchers to spend at the festival.

The festival will be held from 2:00 pm to 12:00am. - TradeArabia News Service
