Kseniya Mamedova has been appointed Cluster Front Office Manager at Novotel Dubai Al Barsha and ApartHotel Adagio Premium Dubai Al Barsha. With over 15 years of hospitality experience in Dubai, she was most recently part of the pre-opening team for Rove at the Park. 

Sun Siyam Group has appointed Deepak Booneady as Group Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2026. He brings over 20 years of hospitality experience. Most recently, Booneady served as CEO of Sun Siyam Resorts, driving portfolio growth and strengthening the brand’s global market presence. 

Mohammed Wazir has been appointed General Manager of Corinthia Gewan Island Qatar, opening in 2027 as the brand’s first GCC hotel. He brings over 20 years of international hospitality experience. Most recently, Wazir held senior general management roles with Anantara and Habitas. 

Thiemo van Spellen has been appointed Managing Director of dnata Netherlands. He brings extensive international experience in logistics and commercial strategy. Most recently, van Spellen was Global Accounts Managing Director at Geopost (DPDgroup), leading global customer strategies and cross-border growth initiatives. 

Our Habitas Ras Abrouq has appointed John Halliday as General Manager. He brings over 28 years of international hospitality experience. Most recently, Halliday served as Hotel Manager at The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Hamra Beach, leading commercial performance and guest experience.

Minor Hotels has appointed Amir Golbarg as Chief Operating Officer - Middle East & Africa, effective January 1, 2026. He brings nearly 20 years of hospitality experience. Most recently, Golbarg served as Vice President Operations – Middle East & Africa, overseeing regional performance and expansion. 

Minor Hotels has appointed Sonia Sammut as General Manager of Anantara World Islands Dubai Resort. She brings nearly 20 years of luxury hospitality experience. Most recently, Sammut served as Resort Manager at the property, overseeing operations and leading the resort’s exclusive villa offering. 

Park Hyatt Dubai has appointed Ersev Demiroz as General Manager of Dubai Creek Resort. He brings over 35 years of international hospitality experience. Most recently, Demiroz was General Manager of Mandarin Oriental Bodrum and Mandarin Oriental Exceptional Homes, with prior senior roles at Four Seasons.
