Hitit, a leading airline software company, has announced a new partnership with Uganda Airlines. The nation's flagship carrier, which was rebirthed earlier this year, is fully owned by the government of Uganda and is entering into the market with a Bombardier CRJ 900 aircraft to serve the region.

This new partnership agreement with Uganda Airlines, makes it the 10th airline in the continent to partner with Hitit over the past five years. According to the partnership, Hitit provides a reservation and passenger service, an internet booking engine, a mobile application, and a departure control system to the returnee carrier. The systems transaction has been completed, and the flag-carrier has now started to operate with its new PSS powered by Hitit. Hitit’s fully-fledged web-based PSS solutions are designed with the latest web technologies, using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), New Distribution Capability (IATA NDC level 4) and Software as a Service (SaaS) models.

Nevra Onursal Karaagac, chief sales and marketing officer at Hitit, said: “We are glad to be the technology partner of Uganda Airlines. As a flag carrier, Uganda Airlines is a rooted airline with its long-term aviation know-how and will play a significant role in improving the passenger experience for Ugandans. Crane solution suites are distinctly unique, they are a seamlessly integrated modular platform with reservation, inventory and departure control systems; we are proud to be a part of the new aviation journey for Uganda.”
