Best Western expands presence

BEST Western International undertaking an ambitious expansion plan in Indonesia which will see its portfolio almost triple by the year end.

Currently Best Western operates three hotels in Bali, one in Jakarta, and the Best Western Star Hotel in Semarang, Java. The company will now commence an expansion that will see new properties in Jakarta and Bali, as well as debut properties in Surabaya, Banjarmasin, Bogor, Samarinda and Pontianak.

Last month, Best Western opened three new properties in and around Jakarta: the 196-room Best Western Serpong, 161-room Best Western Sedayu and 69-room Best Western Mega Kuningan. This month, the brand will extend its reach into East Java with the launch of the 133-room Best Western OJ Hotel in Malang, and into Kalimantan with the opening the 138-room Best Western Premier Galaxy Banjarmasin.

Also in July, Best Western will expand in Jakarta and Bali, with the opening of the 203-room Best Western Hariston and 260-room Best Western Premier Sunset Road Kuta. This expansion will continue in August, with the opening of the 127-room Best Western Premier Candi in Semarang. In September, the 126-room Best Western Coco, in Palu will open doors, marking the company’s debut on the island of Sulawesi and a further three hotels are scheduled to join in December 2013 - the 253-room Best Western Subaraya, 225-room Best Western Mahakam View in Samarinda and 191-room Best Western The Hive Cawang in Wika.
