Delta is the most valuable airline brand

Delta extends its reach as world’s most valuable airline brand for six consecutive years.

New data from Brand Finance reveals US airline brands soar in brand value and brand strength post-pandemic. Some of the recent findings are:

The world’s top three most valuable airline brands are American: Delta, American Airlines and United Airlines. ANA is still the world’s strongest airlines brand, with Indigo and Emirates climbing to second and third strongest. British Airways, Jet2.com and Emirates leap forward with biggest brand value gains.

Heathrow is ranked world’s top airport brand again. The Middle Eastern airline brands such as Emirates (leading all others), Qatar, Saudia and Etihad Airways see growth in value and brand strength. Sustainability drives 6.5 per cent of customer consideration in airline sector.

 

Discover Airlines stations 5 aircraft in Munich

Discover Airlines, a recent addition to the Lufthansa Group, is launching an extensive range of flights from Munich Airport to numerous vacation destinations in time for the summer 2024 flight schedule. Discover Airlines is stationing five Airbus A320s at Munich Airport for this purpose. It will operate almost 70 departures per week to 23 destinations in Europe and North Africa. The airline’s destinations are mainly in Greece, the Canary Islands, and the Balearic Islands, as well as selected locations in mainland Spain, Tunisia, Morocco, Bulgaria and Turkey, Ibiza, Palma de Mallorca, and Crete.

A special check-in and departure process awaits Discover Airlines passengers at Munich Airport. For logistical reasons, the airline’s check-in and baggage drop-off counters are located in the central area of Terminal 1 (T1Z), while boarding, departures and arrivals are in Terminal 2. 

 

Fly Jinnah connects Pakistan with Sharjah

Fly Jinnah, Pakistan’s low-cost carrier, recently marked the inaugural flight of its second international route connecting Lahore, Pakistan with Sharjah, city.

Commenting on the launch of the second international route, Fly Jinnah’s spokesperson said: “This step not only highlights the importance of strengthening air connectivity between Pakistan and the UAE, it also reflects our commitment to offering our customers new options for affordable and value driven air travel domestically and internationally.”

Fly Jinnah, with its modern fleet of five Airbus A320 aircrafts, remains steadfast in offering convenient and affordable service to its passengers. 

 

SkyTeam named ‘Alliance of the Year’

For a second year running, SkyTeam has been named ‘Alliance of the Year’ in this year’s Air Transport Awards. Held in Athens on March 17, the international annual awards recognized all the main categories of the air transport industry. It is the fourth time that SkyTeam has been ranked as number one alliance.

Virgin Atlantic and Kenya Airways partner

Virgin Atlantic and Kenya Airways are pleased to announce a new codeshare partnership agreement, providing greater access to Nairobi and beyond into East Africa.

The first phase of the agreement, which launched recently, will allow customers booking through Virgin Atlantic to directly purchase flights on Kenya Airways’ Heathrow to Nairobi service. 

In turn, Kenya Airways customers will soon have the opportunity to connect via London Heathrow onto a number of Virgin Atlantic’s luxurious Caribbean destinations, including Barbados, The Bahamas, Grenada and St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Virgin Atlantic’s Gold and Silver Flying Club members, alongside Kenya Airways Asante Rewards Platinum and Gold members can take advantage of SkyPriority services at London Heathrow and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, including priority check in, baggage handling and boarding as well as more point redemption opportunities.
