The Red Sea expands luxury offering with wellness, island escapes

Share

The Red Sea is positioning itself as a luxury destination offering diverse experiences across more than 28,000 km² of islands, desert landscapes and mountains, from secluded wellness retreats to high-energy social and adventure experiences.

For travellers seeking relaxation, Shebara’s overwater villas and the private island resorts of Ummahat Islands offer tranquil escapes.

Desert Rock provides a secluded desert retreat built into ancient granite mountains, while Miraval The Red Sea on Shura Island combines wellness, reflection and activities including yoga, kayaking and snorkeling.

Shura Island provides a livelier alternative, bringing together luxury resorts, dining and beach clubs, including SLS The Red Sea and The Red Sea EDITION.

Nearby ADRENA features more than 20 land and water experiences, including surfing, wakeboarding, diving, ziplining, skateboarding and beach sports, alongside dining and live entertainment.

The destination is increasingly accessible through Red Sea International Airport, with direct flights from Dubai, Doha, Riyadh and Jeddah, plus seasonal services from Milan.

Developed by Red Sea Global, The Red Sea will comprise 17 resorts and around 3,000 hotel keys.

The destination is powered by 100% renewable energy and targets a 30% net conservation gain by 2040. -TTN
