DAMAC Hotels and Resorts and Paramount Hotels proudly hosted a successful three-day event in celebration of International Self Care week, aimed at promoting holistic well-being and pampering cast members from Paramount Hotels and DAMAC Maisons. The event, which took place during the self-care week, included engaging panel discussions in the iconic Screening Room at Paramount Hotel Dubai, yoga and sound healing session at Malibu Sky Lounge at Paramount Hotel Midtown and a strengthening session hosted at the newly opened DAMAC Maison Aykon City.
Sports fans in the MENA region can secure their spot at the Paralympic Games Paris 2024, via On Location, the official hospitality provider for the event, where they will have the opportunity to enjoy once-in-a-lifetime experiences while watching some of the most talented and inspirational athletes in the world compete for glory. Taking place over 11 days, from August 28 to September 8, the Games will feature 4,400 para athletes, with On Location providing hospitality packages across eight sports along with the Paralympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
VFS Global, in association with the Embassy of Japan in the UAE and Consulate-General of Japan in Dubai, opened Japan Visa Application Centres in Abu Dhabi and Dubai on August. Imanishi Jun, Consul General of Japan to Dubai and the Northern Emirates inaugurated the Visa Application Centre in Dubai. Effective September 1, travellers eligible for e-visas to Japan will be able to visit VFS Global Japan Visa Application Centres to apply for tourist e-visas to the destination. Optional services such as Visa At Your Doorstep, Premium Lounge, Prime Time submissions, Form-filling Assistance, among others, will also be offered for added convenience.

The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Miral, the leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences in Abu Dhabi, are bringing the prestigious luxury travel fair LOOP CEE to the Middle East for the first time. Three courageous UAE residents recently began The Arctic Challenge, a historic one-of-a-kind rowing expedition across the Arctic Ocean. Toby Gregory, Orlagh Dempsey, and Andy Savill set sail on a 1,500km rowing journey from Tromso in Norway to Svalbard, one of earth’s most remote, harsh, precious and vulnerable ecosystems to highlight the critical issues of ocean conservation and plastic pollution. They are aiming to be the first unassisted and unsupported trio to complete this challenging route which will take 20-25 days of uninterrupted rowing through all conditions. During their expedition, their boat Ocean Guardian will be flying the nation’s flag, a proud moment for the country.
