Sheraton Kuwait Hotel has marked its 60th anniversary, celebrating six decades as a landmark in Kuwait’s hospitality sector.

Opened in 1966, the hotel was the first Sheraton property outside the US, the first international hotel in Kuwait, and the first Marriott International-managed hotel in the Middle East and Africa.

Over the years, Sheraton Kuwait has hosted global leaders, dignitaries, major conferences, and national events, while introducing pioneering hospitality concepts including buffet dining and outside catering services.

The hotel has also remained a preferred venue for weddings and social celebrations, welcoming generations of Kuwaiti families.

Today, Sheraton Kuwait, alongside The St. Regis Kuwait and Four Points by Sheraton Kuwait, continues to expand its hospitality offering through innovation, luxury experiences, and personalised service.

The introduction of The St. Regis brand further strengthens the group’s position in Kuwait’s premium hospitality market.

Fahed Abushaar, Area General Manager, said: “Our 60th anniversary is a celebration of an extraordinary legacy built on vision, dedication, and excellence. This achievement would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our owners and the passion and commitment of our associates over the decades. As we celebrate this historic milestone, we remain committed to preserving the values upon which this iconic landmark was founded while continuing to elevate hospitality standards and deliver exceptional experiences that reflect the prestige of the State of Kuwait.” -TradeArabia News Service
