Roots Innovative Industrial secures Makkah Hotel revamp project

Makkah Construction and Development Company has announced that it has awarded a key contract to Saudi-based group Roots Innovative Industrial Company for the execution of room renovation works at Makkah Hotel and Towers. 

The SAR372 million ($98 million) contract forms part of the company’s broader asset enhancement efforts, aimed at improving guest experience, upgrading room quality, and supporting the long-term performance and competitiveness of the asset, said Makkah Construction and Development Company in its filing to Saudi bourse Tadawul.

The work will be executed in phases in accordance with the approved execution plan, with activities scheduled around peak seasons to ensure the full availability of the Hotel and Towers, including Ramadan and Hajj, it stated.

On the financial impact of the project, the Makkah Construction and Development Company said it will be reflected as capital expenditure over the execution period of the project.-TradeArabia News Service
