Bahrain International Airport (BIA) has received four recognitions from Airports Council International (ACI) covering customer experience, arrivals service quality, accessibility, and public health and safety readiness.

The awards include Airport Customer Experience Accreditation Level 5 for the second consecutive year, ASQ Best Airport by Arrivals Globally, also for the second year, renewal of the Public Health and Safety Readiness Accreditation, and Accessibility Enhancement Accreditation Level 2 for 2026.

Mohamed Al Khenaizi, Chief Commercial Officer at Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), received the recognitions during the ACI World Airport Experience Summit in Istanbul, Türkiye.

Level 5 is the highest tier of ACI’s Airport Customer Experience Accreditation programme, reflecting BIA’s continued focus on customer service across strategy, operations, governance and organisational culture.

The ASQ recognition is based on passenger feedback and highlights the quality and efficiency of arriving passenger services.

Khalid Hussain Taqi, Chairman of Gulf Air Group, said the achievements reflect BAC’s strategy and employees’ dedication, alongside cooperation among airport partners and stakeholders.

Ahmed Mohamed Janahi, BAC Chief Executive Officer, said the recognitions demonstrate the company’s commitment to improving the passenger journey, while the renewed health and safety accreditation confirms BIA’s preparedness to manage public health risks.

The Level 2 accessibility accreditation highlights efforts to support passengers with visible and non-visible disabilities. -TradeArabia News Service
