flydubai is continuing to expand its network and add capacity as travel demand remains resilient, with the airline restoring operations to 85% of its network and now serving more than 125 destinations across 56 countries.
The Dubai-based carrier has resumed or launched services to several markets in recent months, including Aleppo, Benghazi and Bangkok.
In response to strong demand, flights to
Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport have increased
from one to three non-stop daily services,
strengthening connectivity between Thailand, Dubai and destinations
beyond.
The airline will further expand its network on September 23 with the launch of flights to Pokhara, its second destination in Nepal after Kathmandu.
The new
route is expected to support growing flows of travel,
trade and tourism between Nepal and the UAE through Dubai.

flydubai said forward bookings remain encouraging
following the summer season, with demand expected to continue
into winter. Customers are travelling to Dubai for leisure
and visiting friends and relatives, while the airline is
also seeing continued demand across its expanding international
network.
During summer, flydubai operated 11
seasonal routes to popular leisure destinations across the
Mediterranean and beyond. Bodrum, Corfu, Mykonos, Santorini and Tivat
were among the destinations that proved particularly popular
with UAE-based travellers and passengers connecting through Dubai.
The carrier is also increasing capacity
on year-round routes, including services to Almaty, Bishkek
and Tashkent.
Hamad Obaidalla, Chief Commercial Officer at flydubai,

seasonal summer routes. To meet increased travel demand, we
continue to add capacity to our year-round services,

of our triple-daily service to Bangkok in November

commitment to providing customers with more convenient and

“We are currently operating an average of 2,200
weekly flights and aim to increase this frequency as
we receive more aircraft. Our focus remains on further
developing our network and supporting the full recovery of
operations at DXB to pre-disruption levels.”
The combined Emirates and flydubai network remains
a key driver of connectivity through Dubai, offering
access to more than 214 unique destinations across more
than 100 countries and generating more than 4,600 connection
opportunities.
Since its expansion, flydubai has built a network
spanning Africa, Central Asia, the Caucasus, Central and Southeast
Europe, the GCC and Middle East, South Asia and
Southeast Asia. Almost 100 of its destinations were previously
underserved markets with limited or no direct connectivity to
Dubai and the UAE.
The airline currently operates from both Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport (DXB). Passengers travelling on codeshare services with Emirates can connect through Dubai’s aviation hub and access destinations across the combined network. -TradeArabia News Service
