The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has signed a sponsorship agreement with The STR Club for its 2026 programme of global webinars, leadership workshops and industry events, supporting Abu Dhabi’s position in the global short-term rental (STR) and alternative accommodation sector.

Under the agreement, DCT Abu Dhabi will serve as headline sponsor across The STR Club’s local and international industry activations, gaining international brand visibility, access to industry data and speaking opportunities.

The partnership covers key 2026 events including SCALE Middle East, SCALE Fest Barcelona and SCALE Forum Abu Dhabi, a dedicated industry forum scheduled for November 19.

The events will provide DCT Abu Dhabi with opportunities to promote the emirate to STR operators and industry decision-makers and support the growth of its short-term rental market.

The collaboration will also create networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities for STR operators, hospitality and tourism stakeholders, government partners and investors.

DCT Abu Dhabi’s participation is intended to strengthen dialogue with industry operators, support market engagement and contribute to the development and professionalisation of Abu Dhabi’s growing short-term rental sector.

Saleh Al Geziry, Director General for Tourism at DCT Abu Dhabi, said: “We are diversifying Abu Dhabi’s hospitality ecosystem, and our partnership with SCALE and The STR Club aims to strengthen the emirate’s competitiveness as a premier tourism destination. By solidifying DCT Abu Dhabi’s ties with local and global short-term rental operators, the sponsorship agreement will unlock new avenues for investment and industry collaboration, fostering sustainable growth within Abu Dhabi’s short-term rental and alternative accommodation sector.” -TradeArabia News Service
