The fourth edition of WTE Miami is set to return to the Miami Beach Convention Center from October 27 to 28, 2026, unveiling a conference programme dedicated to the technologies, trends, and commercial strategies shaping the future of global tourism.
Organised by Fairfest Media, the premier B2B travel trade event serves as an international gateway connecting destinations, airlines, hotels, and travel technology suppliers with qualified buyers across North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean. This year’s gathering is projected to host more than 500 exhibitors representing over 70 countries, drawing 7,000 travel trade professionals, 500 hosted and VIP buyers, and facilitating over 10,000 pre-scheduled B2B meetings.
Industry veteran Simon Press joined Fairfest Media as Managing Director, International in the lead-up to WTE Miami 2026. "Our vision is for WTE Miami to become the home of the Travel Advisor of the Future, the event that helps travel advisors, tour operators and exhibitors succeed in an industry that is evolving faster than ever," he tells us in an interview.
The 2026 conference agenda places a strong emphasis on artificial intelligence and emerging travel technology, evaluating their practical impact on consumer booking behaviour and everyday agency operations. Dedicated sessions, including “AI Solutions for the Travel Industry” and “AI in Tourism: How It's Changing Travelers and How It's Changing the Travel Industry,” will run alongside practical workshops presented by the MPI Academy addressing group pricing, contracting, and operational AI integration.
A prominent line-up of global industry leaders will lead keynote discussions and specialised panels across the two days. Key speakers include Peter Cerdá, Regional Vice President, The Americas at IATA, and Ignacio Borbolla, General Manager, South Florida at Delta Air Lines, exploring air connectivity and regional outlooks; Emir Pineda, Director of Air Service Development at Miami International Airport, detailing gateway expansion; Rose Mary Cortes, Vice President of International Marketing & Communications at MMGY, presenting findings from the annual “Portrait of American Travelers” study; and Dorothy Calba, Consultant at Euromonitor International, addressing evolving outbound flows.
Regional and niche travel dynamics will feature prominently across the agenda, with sessions led by Naledi Khabo, CEO of the Africa Tourism Association; Elizabeth Chin, Executive Director of the PATA New York Chapter; Eva Mossberg of the Adventure Travel Trade Association; and Shayna Zand, Managing Director of Host Agency Reviews.
On the exhibition floor, global presence will be anchored by prominent regional and international participants, including South African Tourism, the Jamaica Tourist Board, and Royal Jordanian, alongside global hospitality and technology providers, reinforced by sponsorship from Miami International Airport.
