Al Raha Beach Resort & Spa is successfully navigating the evolving hospitality landscape by positioning itself as a versatile destination capable of catering to a diverse global demographic. According to Ahmed Abdraboh, Director of Sales & Marketing, the property continues to strengthen its foothold across multiple segments while looking toward a highly optimistic future.
“Al Raha Beach Resort & Spa caters to the full market mix from families, business and leisure offering as well as enhancing our Wellbeing and dining opportunities,” Abdraboh explains. The resort’s strategic location and comprehensive amenities make it a prime choice for both vacationers and corporate groups. “Our facilities and location offers the international and family traveller starting from our private beach, our three swimming pools, and many activities and live entertainment for the kids in our Kids Club. At the same time for the corporate business, we have very strong MICE and events facilities.” Looking ahead, he hints at further developments on the horizon: “We are looking additional enhancements in the pipeline and once confirmed – we will share!”
This momentum is translating into strong commercial confidence as the resort looks toward the upcoming seasons. “We are very positive about Q4 2026 and into 2027, and we are focussing more in the experience of the guests personalising the guest experience,” says Abdraboh.
Much of this optimism stems from recent high-level industry engagements and a broader stabilisation of international travel infrastructure. “After the meetings that we have during the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) with our travel partners, and with most of the airlines are really coming back, deals are being made,” Abdraboh notes. “Everybody looking to do some campaigns for your destination, and we start to see some bookings already for Christmas and New Year, so it's a very good sign.”
Understanding geographic demographics remains central to the resort's commercial blueprint. Abdraboh highlights that the primary feeder regions for both the resort and Abu Dhabi in general encompass "Europe, East Europe and the UK followed by CIS, Russia leading this market." Meanwhile, regional travel shifts dynamically during the warmer months, with the property welcoming "the GCC during the summer with Abu Dhabi’s theme and water parks."
To maintain this steady pipeline of international visitors, Al Raha Beach Resort & Spa relies heavily on its relationships with the global travel trade. “Travel agents / tour operators are very important partners for us, because they are, especially the ones in our key source market,” Abdraboh emphasises, concluding that a localised strategy is essential for success. “We tailor make specific source market campaigns.”
