The newly opened Dolce by Wyndham Siracusa Monasteri Golf & Spa

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has expanded its European portfolio with the opening of Dolce by Wyndham Siracusa Monasteri Golf & Spa in Sicily. This new property, a restored 102-room compound, is a significant addition for travel professionals seeking to offer clients an authentic and experience-led Italian holiday.

The four-star hotel, set amid fragrant citrus orchards outside the UNESCO World Heritage city of Siracusa, is a transformation of a historic site that was once a Roman villa and a 9th-century monastery. It now offers 83 guest rooms, 14 junior suites and five king suites, each designed to reflect its storied past.

A key feature for agents to highlight is the resort's extensive amenities, including an 18-hole, par-71 golf course spanning 90 hectares. The property also boasts the spacious Monasteri Spa, which provides a menu of beauty and wellness treatments, alongside indoor and outdoor pools, a steam room, a sauna and a hydromassage tub.

Culinary offerings are led by Sicilian chef Mirko Previtera at the signature restaurant, LE CERAMICHE. With a background in Michelin-starred kitchens such as The Fat Duck in the UK and Les Prés d’Eugénie in France, Chef Previtera's menu focuses on bold Mediterranean flavours and seasonal ingredients, available for both indoor and al fresco dining.

Dimitris Manikis, President EMEA, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, commented: "Dolce by Wyndham is more than a hotel brand – its DNA is rooted in beauty, culture and connection and there’s no better place for it to thrive than Italy, the home of its namesake and spirit. Sicily’s timeless charm makes it the perfect setting for travellers seeking authenticity and a true sense of place. As demand grows across the world for meaningful, experience-led travel, Dolce continues to resonate, offering owners a compelling lifestyle brand with strong commercial potential. It’s part of the Wyndham Advantage: scale, support, and a brand that stands out in the evolving world of meaningful travel.”

The Dolce by Wyndham brand has seen strong growth across the EMEA region, with 12 hotels now open and more in the pipeline. The opening of Dolce by Wyndham Siracusa Monasteri Golf & Spa is part of a larger non-exclusive development agreement between Wyndham and All In Italia Hotels & Resorts for 20 hotels in Italy over the next 10 years.

Alberto Reggidori, CEO of All In Italia Hotels & Resorts, added: “In Italy, we say ‘Dove c’è il cuore, lì è casa’ - ‘Where the heart is, there is home.’ With Dolce by Wyndham Siracusa, we’ve created more than a resort, we’ve created a place where the spirit of Sicily lives in every detail. It’s about feeling, flavour, and freedom, and we’re proud to welcome guests to experience a truly unforgettable taste of Italian life. Wyndham shares our passion for hospitality and brings the iconic, global Dolce brand, making them the ideal partner to continue growing our footprint within Italy.”

Dolce by Wyndham Siracusa is also well-suited for the MICE market, with two large meeting rooms, a ballroom with a capacity for up to 200 people and stunning views of the golf course. The hotel is conveniently positioned as a gateway to explore Sicily, with easy access to beaches, food markets, and historic sites.

The hotel brings Wyndham’s total portfolio in Italy to seven properties across five brands: Dolce, Wyndham Garden, Ramada, Trademark Collection, and Registry Collection, with a robust pipeline of future projects.
