Al Khozama Management Company (AKMC) has co-invested in the development of a residential neighbourhood in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The development, covering over three million square metres, 70 per cent of which is landscaped, will be home to 6,700 select residents.
The current multi-million dollar expansion programme will increase the room inventory at the Al Faisaliah Hotel, owned by Al Khozama Management Company and managed by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, from 224 to 330 rooms and suites,” said Musaed A Al-Said CEO AKMC.
Scheduled to open in early 2010, the additional 106 suites will again set the benchmark in quality, luxury and service standards in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. AKMC owns the Al Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh, which opened in 2000, and introduced the butler service to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
“In 2007, AKMC has been awarded the management contract of AKMC-Al Shohada Hotel to operate this five star property. Due to substantial investment and introducing our distinctive service to the holy city including the unique 24 hour butler service to select rooms, AKMC-Al Shohada Hotel has become one of the leading hotels in Makkah,” said Al-Said.
Scheduled to open in the last quarter of 2009, AKMC is now negotiating to manage and operate a boutique hotel in Al Madina Al Munawara.
“Whether we own, manage, or both, each of our hotel features sophisticated facilities complemented with matchless service with incredible attention to detail. This has enabled us to be successful and one of the market leaders in the hospitality industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” he added.
Hussein A Hatata vice president, Hotels Division AKMC, believed their greatest accomplishment to date was the Al Faisaliah Center, which includes the Al Faisaliah Hotel, Al Faisaliah Tower and Al Faisaliah Mall. “This was the first ‘city within a city’ multipurpose complex in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Al Faisaliah Tower was the first skyscraper in the country,” said Hatata.
“Inspired by the success AKMC has entered into a management agreement to operate Al Shohada Hotel in Makkah in 2007, and elevated this hotel to one of the leading hotels in Makkah. We will soon be opening a stunning boutique hotel in Al Madina Al Munawara and negotiations are on to build a five-star property in Jeddah.”
