Lufthansa Group and TPConnects have expanded their strategic partnership, building on a decade of collaboration that began in 2016 and extending their commitment to NDC innovation through 2030 and beyond.

TPConnects has expanded its global travel agency network, increasing access to Lufthansa Group’s NDC content across international markets.

The company has also achieved Lufthansa Group NDC 24.1 Hybrid certification, allowing agencies using its Iris platform to access updated retailing and servicing capabilities across Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, ITA Airways, Eurowings and Discover Airlines.

The upgraded platform offers enhanced disruption management, integrated upselling and greater servicing transparency.

The partnership has also focused on meeting the needs of corporate travellers, including complex booking changes and disruption management through the NDC channel.

The companies said the strengthened alliance will support continued investment in technology, distribution innovation and market expansion, while enabling faster responses to changing customer and industry requirements.

Heinrich Lange, Vice President Digital Retailing & Order Management at Lufthansa Group, said: “Our partnership with TPConnects has been instrumental in our NDC journey since 2016. Over this decade, we’ve built a true strategic partnership based on shared vision and mutual commitment. TPConnects’ achievement of NDC 24.1 Hybrid certification demonstrates their continued dedication to our joint growth. Their expanding multi-market presence and deep expertise in servicing make them an invaluable partner as we enter the next phase of the airline retailing transformation.”

Stephanos Kykkotis, Director of Product, TPConnects, said: “We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together with Lufthansa Group over the past decade. Since 2016, we’ve grown alongside them, continuously investing in our platform capabilities and market presence to support their NDC ambitions. Achieving NDC 24.1 hybrid certification is a significant milestone that enables our agency partners to access the full range of Lufthansa Group’s modern retailing and servicing capabilities. Our extensive corporate customer base has pushed us to develop best-in-class servicing functionality, and our multi-market footprint has expanded significantly. This strengthened partnership reflects our shared commitment to leading the industry’s retailing transformation for the next decade and beyond.” -TTN
