Flexjet has opened a new $34 million private terminal at the UK’s Farnborough Airport, marking a major milestone in the luxury private aviation company’s global expansion.
The 2,098-square-metre facility is Flexjet’s first private
terminal in Europe and offers exclusive ground-to-air hospitality for its
aircraft Owners and guests. The terminal includes private meeting spaces,
dedicated security and immigration facilities, an Owners Bar & Lounge and a
full-size Gulfstream G700 Fuselage Lounge.
“This opening establishes one of the most significant
branded luxury environments in private aviation and is a defining moment in
Flexjet’s global expansion,” said Flexjet Chairman Kenn Ricci.
The opening expands Flexjet’s network of dedicated private
terminals, with nine facilities established or under development in the US. The
company has also recently opened a 3,530-square-metre maintenance, repair and
overhaul (MRO) hangar at Farnborough, supporting its global fleet.
“From our growing network of Flexjet exclusive private
terminals to our in-house maintenance capabilities, to private helicopters,
curated events, the FXLUXE travel programme and exclusive partnerships, the
Flexjet experience - and the dedicated ecosystem that we are investing in to
support it - continues to push the boundaries in luxury experiences today,”
Ricci said. -TTN
