Turkish Airlines has resumed its flights to the Syrian city of Aleppo, which were suspended in April 2012.

Following the launch of flights to Syrian capital Damascus in January 2025, with the addition of Aleppo flights, the number of destinations that Turkish Airlines serves in Syria has increased to two.

Turkish Airlines, which began with round-trip flights between Istanbul Airport and Aleppo International Airport three days a week, will operate daily flights beginning September 1.

Turkish Airlines SVP Sales (Region II) Mahmut Yayla said: “Aleppo is one of the most important cities in the region with its historical and cultural richness. With the reopening of our Aleppo route, we aim to strengthen economic and social ties between the two countries. As Turkish Airlines, we continue to increase our flight connections while offering our guests more travel options.”
