Meliá Chiang Mai has helped restore more than seven acres of northern Thailand’s tropical forest by planting 6,650 native trees through its Meliá Go Green initiative.
Nearly 180 staff joined the latest activity on June 26,
2026, planting 800 trees in Doi Suthep-Pui National Park with the Doi Suthep
Nature Centre.
Since 2022, the partnership has supported biodiversity,
watershed protection and wildlife habitats through native species restoration.
The programme forms
part of the hotel’s wider sustainability strategy, alongside local sourcing,
food waste reduction and support for community artisans, aligned with owner
Asset World Corporation’s environmental and social goals.
