Non-stop flights between Mombasa, Dubai

Kenya Airways has launched nonstop flights between the Kenyan coastal city of Mombasa and Dubai, the United Arab Emirates. This is part of the airline’s strategy to expand its route network and support Kenya’s tourism and hospitality industry.

The Dubai – Mombasa route will give tourists from the Middle East, Russia, Northern Europe and Australia direct access to the wonders of coast region tourism and hospitality industry. The Mombasa- Dubai route is expected to attract travellers to the Middle East for holiday or religious trips.

Kenya Airways Chief Commercial and Customer Officer, Julius Thairu said: “The introduction of this route is key and strategic as it will open up the Kenya coastal region, boost the tourism and hospitality industry as well as stimulate trade to the coastal city. This launch is part of Kenya Airways network expansion strategy and commitment towards supporting the recovery of the tourism and hospitality industry in Kenya.”

Kenya Airways has announced an introductory fare promotion for the Mombasa – Dubai route. Kenya Airways which will operate the route four times weekly on flight number KQ306 offered customers a below market fare of $306 for a return flight (until December 17, 2022).

Thairu said, “To celebrate and commemorate this important inaugural flight (KQ306), customers will enjoy a promotion fare of only $306 for a return flight. The Mombasa-Dubai route introduction is key to KQ and strategic for the tourism and trade sector of our country as it will open up the coastal region of Kenya to more traders and tourists.”
