Czechia is emerging as one of Europe’s fastest-growing destinations for international travellers, with new data highlighting rising demand and growing potential in the GCC market.

According to the Travel Insights 2026: Focus on Europe report by Amadeus Travel Intelligence and UN Tourism, Czechia recorded 18% year-on-year booking growth, ranking ahead of Iceland and Denmark among Europe’s fastest-growing booked destinations.

It also ranked fifth among the top booked destinations and fourth among the most searched in Central and Eastern Europe.

The report showed Czechia leading destination growth in the subregion, with searches increasing 31% and bookings 9% among the top 30 destinations.

The momentum offers opportunities to attract GCC travellers with a combination of city breaks, family holidays, wellness retreats, shopping, gastronomy and outdoor experiences.

Prague serves as a gateway, while destinations including Karlovy Vary, Český Krumlov, South Moravia and Bohemian Switzerland offer heritage, spa and nature experiences.

Czechia is also expanding its appeal through halal-friendly dining, premium hospitality and family-oriented attractions, supporting longer stays and multi-generational travel.

Barbara Andelová, International Marketing Manager, CzechTourism said: “We are delighted to see Czechia recognised as Europe’s fastest-growing booked destination, reflecting the increasing demand for authentic, experience-rich travel among international visitors. For travellers from the GCC, Czechia offers a unique blend of cultural heritage, vibrant city experiences, wellness, nature, gastronomy, shopping and regional discovery, all within a destination that is easy to explore year-round. Beyond the iconic attractions of Prague, visitors can uncover charming historic towns, world-renowned spa destinations and breathtaking natural landscapes, making Czechia an ideal choice for both short breaks and longer, more immersive journeys.”  -TTN
