Delano Dubai opens later this year

Dubai Holding has partnered with global lifestyle and leisure hospitality company Ennismore to launch its Delano brand in the UAE. Its debut project - the 335-key Delano Dubai - will be opening later this year at the waterfront destination Bluewaters.

Dubai Holding Group CEO Amit Kaushal said: “The launch of Delano Dubai underscores our commitment to setting new standards of excellence in luxury hospitality and strengthening Dubai’s position as a leading international tourism hub.”

“Together with the recent opening of Banyan Tree Dubai, we are proud to mark another milestone in the evolution of Bluewaters Dubai as a luxury lifestyle destination. Our collaboration with market leaders like Ennismore and Banyan Group will continue to focus on welcoming new brands to Dubai and further enrich the city’s vibrant hospitality landscape,” he stated.

 

Cheval Collection adds second Dubai site

Cheval Collection has signed a management agreement to add a second property in Dubai under its Cheval Maison flag, with the repurposing of The Leadership Pavilion, one of the showpiece properties in Expo City Dubai.

The prestigious building, which is due to reopen in 2025 after extensive renovation, hosted visiting world leaders during Expo 2020 Dubai and did do so again during the COP28 climate conference in December 2023.

Cheval Maison – Expo City Dubai will be one of the group’s largest sites, with a mix of 150 studios, one, two-bedroom units and will feature a rooftop pool and meetings and events spaces as well as a restaurant and bar, brasserie and coffee shop. The property’s two existing royal suites will also remain.

Rocco Forte Hotels, Capri Group sign agreement

Rocco Forte Hotels will launch its first hotel in Naples, after signing a management agreement with fashion company Capri Group. The 5-star hotel, expected to open in 2027, will be located in Palazzo Caravita di Sirignano, adjacent to the Villa Pignatelli museum.

The Colella family, owners of fashion brands Gutteridge and Alcott, acquired the property in 2018 and since its acquisition, CEO Nunzio Colella has stated his ambition to provide Naples with a hotel experience that matches the individuality and charm of the city.

Previously a noble residence, the building has extraordinary features and an important history. Built in 1535, the first palace along the Riviera di Chiaia, Palazzo Sirignano was inhabited by noble dynasties such as the Bourbons and the Princes of Sirignano.

The restoration has been assigned to globally acclaimed architect Michele Bonan.
