Etihad, Uzbekistan Airways sign codeshare
Etihad Airways and Uzbekistan Airways have signed a new codeshare agreement that will expand connectivity between the UAE and Central Asia from May 15, 2026. The partnership coincides with Etihad’s new daily Abu Dhabi -Tashkent service launching on August 9, 2026.
Under the agreement, Etihad passengers can book single-ticket connections from Tashkent to eight Uzbek cities, including Samarkand, Bukhara, Fergana and Urgench, alongside selected international destinations on Uzbekistan Airways’ network. Uzbekistan Airways’ passengers will also gain easier access to Abu Dhabi and Etihad’s wider international network.
The airlines are additionally developing a frequent flyer partnership between Etihad Guest and UzAirPlus.
flydubai launches direct flights to Benghazi
flydubai has announced the launch of direct flights between Dubai and Benghazi, becoming the first UAE carrier to operate direct services to Benghazi Benina International Airport.
The new three-times-weekly route will begin on June 17, 2026 from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport. The launch strengthens connectivity between the UAE and Libya while expanding flydubai’s network in Africa to 13 destinations across nine countries.
flydubai said its network is expected to exceed 100 destinations by summer 2026.
Euroairlines partners with Greater Bay Airlines
Euroairlines has strengthened its presence in Asia through a new interline agreement with Greater Bay Airlines, expanding connectivity between Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
The partnership allows Euroairlines customers to access a broader range of Asian destinations, including Tokyo, Osaka, Bangkok, Taipei and cities in mainland China through Greater Bay Airlines’ network.
In return, Greater Bay Airlines gains access to new routes in Central Asia and the Middle East, while distributing its services through Euroairlines’ network of travel agencies across more than 75 international markets.
The agreement also enables passengers to combine flights from both carriers under a more seamless and flexible travel experience.
Cebu Pacific to resume Dubai services
Cebu Pacific has announced the resumption of its Dubai operations from July 2, 2026 following safety assessments and coordination with Dubai airport authorities. The airline will operate four weekly flights on the Manila–Dubai–Manila route every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
Passengers affected by previously cancelled Dubai flights can rebook through Cebu Pacific’s online Manage Booking portal. The airline also confirmed that its four-times-weekly Manila–Riyadh and Riyadh–Manila services will continue operating on their regular schedules.
Qatar Airways adds Helsinki and Haneda
Qatar Airways is expanding its international network with the resumption of flights to Helsinki and Tokyo Haneda from July 15, 2026, strengthening connectivity across Europe and Asia. The airline will initially operate four weekly flights to Helsinki before increasing services to daily operations from August 1.
Qatar Airways will also resume four weekly flights to Tokyo Haneda, complementing its existing Tokyo Narita services, with frequencies rising to daily flights from August to meet increasing international passenger demand during summer travel season.
The expansion supports growing travel demand and improves onward connectivity for passengers travelling from Australia, Southeast Asia, Europe, Kenya and the Middle East through Doha. Qatar Airways said its network will exceed 160 global destinations across six continents during the summer season, reinforcing the airline’s position as one of the world’s largest international carriers.
